In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the West family. Vivian's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother Vivian West.

Vivian Lavan Johnson-West passed away on June 29, 2018. On September 30th, 1970 a beautiful baby girl was born to Carolyn Johnson and Earnest Newton.
Born and raised in Fort Smith Vivian attended north side high school. Vivian professed her love for Christ at an early age. Vivian was full of life and loved people she never met a stranger. Later in 2000 Vivian decided to move to Tulsa Oklahoma with her husband and Children.
Vivian dedicated her life to being a mother to her 4 daughters, Felicia Johnson, Crystal West, Jasmine West, and Chasity West. A grandmother to her 12 grandchildren and wife to her Husband of 30 years Lenny West.
Vivian was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Johnson, Father Earnest Newton; grandmother, Mary Johnson; grandfather, Ledell Johnson; Uncles, Henry Johnson, and James "Big June" Moton.
She leaves to Cherish her loving memories, husband, Lenny West; daughters, Felicia, Crystal, Jasmine, and Chasity; brothers, Patrick Johnson, William Brooks, Jr, James Newton; sister Debra Dawson, twelve grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
On June 29th, 2018 heaven could no longer wait and God called her home. Vivian will be missed by many but especially by those she loved most, her children.

Words cant describe how special you were and what you meant to me. I'll think of you every day I'll take your memories everywhere I go. You were more than a mother you were my heart my comfort my peace and best friend. Although it hurts and I'll miss you please don't worry about me. Now you have your wings I hope you're finally resting in peace. Forever in our hearts love you! Mama.

Celebration of life service will be held, Saturday, July 7, 2018, 1:00pm at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1119 Division St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
