In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Jackson family. Arthur’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Arthur Jackson.

Arthur Eugene Jackson went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 14, 2022. He was born in Charleston, Arkansas on November 18th, 1948, to Lee and Mae Ella Jackson. Arthur received his formal education from the Fort Smith Public School System. While at Northside Sr. High School, Arthur left his mark as a force to be reckon with when he, Alma Lee and Jerry Jennings, helped bring the Grizzlies to a basketball championship in 1966. Arthur served proudly in the United Stated Air Force with tours in Germany and Japan. Arthur retired from Milwaukee Forge Company. Arthur was a very compassionate, outgoing, and loveable man. Always ready to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. He was an avid sports fan, the Arkansas Razorbacks (Go Hogs) was his favorite team. He also loved keeping his car showroom ready on the daily.
Arthur was preceded in death by his two brothers, George Lee Jackson, and Ronald Edward Jackson.
Arthur will be forever cherished and remembered by Gary Ann Hunt/Sanders, Kim Hunt, and Cecilia Hunt (deceased) who he raised as his own children. 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren all who called him Paw-Paw. His kids were his pride and joy. Arthur also leaves to cherish his memory: Sisters Zue Ella Jackson Gray and Sherry Jackson- Ward of Fort Smith, Arkansas, LaVonda Jackson of Edmond Oklahoma and Tonya Jackson of Bentonville, Arkansas. Three brothers, Raymond Foster-Jackson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, William Jackson of San Deigo, California and Paul Jackson of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Two Aunts, Viney Wilbon (Donagee) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Shirley West of Fayetteville, Arkansas along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
