In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Williams Family. Blake's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Blake Williams, Sr.

Blake Martin Williams, Sr. was a born on November 18th, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Kenneth Warren and the late Lorlei Williams. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen Evette Clements-Williams and daughter, Olivia Minuette Clements.  He was called to rest on Sunday, June 16th, 2024.

 

Blake attended at A.L. Holmes Elementary School, Burroughs Middle School, and Kettering High School in Detroit, Michigan.  He married the love of his life and soulmate Karen Clements on January 16th, 1992. Blake was the First Man at God’s Ministry of Restoration for over 10 years.  He was a long time Whirlpool employee until the company closed its doors; afterwards he attended Tulsa Welding School.  Blake was employed at WestRock for the last decade in Fort Smith, Arkansas until his passing.

 

Blake loved to spend time with his wife, family and friends.  He enjoyed fishing, music (especially jazz), and observing the galaxy.  He loved to host a party and cut a rug.  Blake had a passion for cooking and grilling, playing spades, telling jokes, and making memories with the people he loved.  He now gets to reunite in paradise with his beloved wife, Karen.

 

Blake leaves to cherish his memories: One (1) daughter, Monica Clements of Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Three (3) sons:  Blake Williams, Jr. and Ricky Williams both of Detroit, Michigan and Kordell Clements (LeeAnn) of Central City, Arkansas. Two (2) sisters: Letia Benton (Vernell) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Mary Williams-Norwood (David) of Southaven, Mississippi and one (1) brother Damion Williams of Detroit, Michigan. Eight (8) grandchildren Zakiah, Ta’Zayah, La’Zavia of Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Carter and Sebastian of Central City, Arkansas.  Blake III, Morgan, and Braylon all of Detroit, Michigan.  Along with a host of other family and friends.


Walk through visitation will be Thursday June 27, 2024, 11:00am to 6:00pm (Family hour 5-6pm) Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas.


Celebration of Life Service will be Friday June 28, 2024, 11:00am New Covenant International Christian Center 4400 North N St., Fort Smith, Arkansas.


Burial and final resting place: Washington Cemetery North 54th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas.
