In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Lewis family. Christopher’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Christopher Lewis.

Christopher Brent Lewis “Chris” was a gift from God on Saturday, June 19, 1976 to Linda Magee and the late Johnny Lee Lewis in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was called to take his eternal rest on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from Fort Smith, Arkansas at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Chris grew up in, around and near Lake Charles where he graduated from Crowley High School in 1994. He was baptized at an early age at his church: God’s Word Holiness during a service in Galveston Beach, Texas 1986. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from March 4, 1996 to March 4, 1998.

He was a devoted father, loving husband and a dear friend. He also loved his dog: Zeek. He loved fishing, southern soul food cooking, music, and video games. He was a super fan of the LSU Tigers and his New Orleans Saints. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and adored him throughout his life.

Chris will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife: Lucretia Lewis of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his seven children: Quallin, Xavier and Tiana all three of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Roxie of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Ashlyn of Fayetteville, Arkansas; LaKauri of Fort Smith, Arkansas and London of Fort Smith, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; his mother: Linda Magee of Houston, Texas; his four sisters: Stephanie Lewis of Houston, Texas; Takiesha Nash of Dallas, Texas; Victoria Magee of Houston, Texas and Amber Lewis of Crowley, Louisiana; a brother: Justin Lewis of Houston, Texas and a host of other family members and friends.


Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.


Celebration of life service will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. at New Covenant International Christian Center 4400 North N Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.


Committal service and final resting place will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery Fort Smith, Arkansas.
