Hardrick Jerome Woods, was born on March 29, 1962 to Chester A. Woods and Rosie Lee Woods at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. “Ronnie” was a complete surprise and a welcomed addition. He loved following his older brothers, often getting into the same mishaps and mischievousness as they did. Jerome loved the outdoors and was unprecedented, avid, and accomplished hunter and fisherman. He was constantly preparing wild game, caught, or hunted by himself. Jerome was also a talented musician, perfecting the alto saxophone; which he played only to bring tears to your eyes. Jerome graduated from Northside High School and spent most of his life in Fort Smith performing with colleagues, praising God and supporting his Dad, Pastor Chester A. Woods, Sr.
In his ministry, Jerome was later ordained a minister by Pastor A.L. Bell at Mission Point Missionary Baptist Church. He was widely known with many requests for solo saxophone concerts; a God given talent that truly captivated people repeatedly. After his dads passing, Jerome dedicated his life to caring for his Mother, giving every ounce of energy to her well-being.
He is preceded in death by his father Minister Dr. Chester A. Woods, Sr., and his Aunt Brenda.
