In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Hogue family. John’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. John Henry Hogue.

John Henry Hogue was gift from God on Saturday, October 25, 1947 to the late John and Helen (Clements) Hogue in Van Buren, Arkansas. He was called to take his eternal rest on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from Los Angeles, California.


John will be forever cherished by his three daughters: Aretha Scott, Mahalia Knauls and Helen Ruth Levester; a brother: Clarence Hogue; a cousin Linda Sloan Norwood and a host of nieces and nephews located in the Van Buren and Fort Smith, Arkansas area.


Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 18 South 14th Street Van Buren, Arkansas 72956.


Committal service and final resting place will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
