In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Ashford family. Sandra's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Sandra Ashford.

Sandra Ann Ashford was born in Hattiesville, Arkansas on October 18, 1955 to the union of Elihu (Buck) and Madella Canady-Ashford and was the youngest of five children. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Christine McDaniel, brothers Isac and Charles Ashford, one neice Ester McDaniel, and one nephew Leon Conrad Scott III.
Sandra professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Old Prospect Baptist Church and later she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Patrick Greene Sr. at New Prospect Baptist Church. She attended Center School thru the 9th grade and then transferred to Wonderview High School, graduating in 1973. After graduation she moved to Kansas City and began working at Dit-MCO International where she worked for several years. She later returned to Arkansas where she worked for Arrow Automotive until her health failed. During her time on earth, she was united in holy matrimony to Clifford Lasker and after several years the union was dissolved.
Sandra was an active member in her church. She served as an usher and during her early years she enjoyed singing in the mass choir. She loved her church family and working for the Lord. Most of all Sandra (San) was a strong woman of faith in Jesus Christ. She will be missed and cherished by her loving daughter Tia Brie'Aunna, sister Exa Nolen, nieces La Tania Miles, Charlette Ashford, Deidra Ashford-Spencer, Chantel (Tyrone) Smith and nephews Terrance White, Robert McDaniel, Derrick McDaniel, and sister in law Peggy Ashforfd and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024, 11:00am at New Prospect Baptist Church, 3433 Hwy 95, Cleveland, Arkansas.
