In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Pilgrim family. Thomas’ earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Thomas Earl Pilgrim.

Thomas Earl Pilgrim was born February 7, 1954 to Ceisroe and Lee Ethel McCray Pilgrim. He was educated at Pine Street in Conway, Arkansas and Greenbrier High School in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Thomas was baptized at Pilgrim Rest Baptist church in Wooster, Arkansas, and later, united with Mount Gale Baptist Church of Conway, where he served as Sunday school teacher for the youth, youth leader, deacon and Sunday school superintendent under the leadership of F.C. Cooper. He gained his wings and made his transition on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 with his wife and family by his side.


Upon completion of high school, he joined the US Army and served his country proudly with a tour in Germany. He was employed by Vertac later, becoming Terracon for 36 years as a hazardous waste water operator. After retirement, Thomas enjoyed flee marketing for books and toys, traveling all over the state of Arkansas to add to his collection. He also enjoyed hiking in the woods to collect unusual pieces of wood and materials to make walking canes and other crafts.


He was joined in holy matrimony to Clemontene Chandler, and this union was blessed with three children.


He is proceeded in death by his parents Ceisroe and Lee Ethel Pilgrim Ealy; two brothers Archie Pilgrim and Carl Pilgrim; one sister, Connie Bunting; and one granddaughter Jaylan K. Allen.


He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Clemontene Pilgrim, two sons Chris (Kendall) Pilgrim, Andre’(Mykele) Pilgrim one daughter Tyisha (Michael) Allen all of Conway AR, one brother Patrick Pilgrim of Conway, AR, three sisters Kathleen (Dr. Andrew) Robertson of Conway, AR, Donna (Rev. Jerry) Ross of Morrilton, AR and Betty Bonner of Houston, TX and one aunt, Janie McCray of Des Moines, Iowa. Five grandsons Alex, Braylan, Thomas, Andreas and Lawrence. Seven granddaughters Caylee Latijera, Briannah, Raghan, Nakeria, Lilli, Lakyn and Remi. Four great grandchildren along with a host of nieces nephews relatives and friends.


Celebration of life services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, 11:00am at Mt. Gale Baptist Church, 8 Brannon Dr Conway, AR 72034, Rev F.C. Cooper Pastor.
