In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Kimbrew family. Tilda’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Tilda Louise Kimbrew.

Tilda Louise Kimbrew, commonly known as “Trixie”, was born Aril 7 1756 in Moffett, Oklahoma. Tilda attended elementary school in Moffett, Oklahoma and high school in Roland, Oklahoma, Through the years, she attended vocational trade school and later attended Certified Nurse Assistant school, to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Tilda had a huge heart for helping others and was very passionate about helping children. She worked as a Childcare Provider with Childcare facilities and home Daycare, later providing her own in-house Home Daycare and Babysitting services.


Tilda gave her life to Christ at an early age. She loved Lord and was a faithful member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Moffett, Oklahoma. She served as a Childcare Representative during church services.


She was preceded in death by her mother: Maggie Benton; her three brothers: Edward “Bobby” Foreman, Ernest Benton, Jr. and Chester Benton and her sister: Doann Billings.


She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Bertram Kimbrew of Muldrow, Oklahoma; a son: Gherrold Kimbrew of Muldrow, Oklahoma; three daughters: Treasha Benton of Fort Smith, Arkansas, LaKristie Benton and Krisheena (DaVonte) Suarez both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, three grandchildren: Montez James and D’Ovion Benton-Coleman both of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Aspen Suarez of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters: Sarah Jones of Moffett; Oklahoma and Laura Ann Thompson on Fort Smith, Arkansas; two brothers: James Benton of Waukegan, Illinois and Vernell Benton of Fort Smith, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church 1601 Shawntel Smith Boulevard Muldrow, Oklahoma 74948.


Committal service and final resting place will be at Center Point Cemetery Redland, Oklahoma.
