In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Royce family. Wendy’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Wendy Dawn Royce.

Wendy Dawn Royce was a blessing from God on Saturday, May 1, 1976 to Eddie and Ann (Stark) Thomason at Washington Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was also called by God to take her eternal rest on Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by one of her granddaughters: La’Myah Marie Sanders; her paternal grandparents: Otis and Lucy Thomason and her maternal grandparents: Truman and Norma Stark.

Wendy believed in the LORD and knew that she would be greeted by Him when it was time to go home. She graduated from the Russellville Public School System Class of 1996; GO CYCLONES! She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aid and she went on to work as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She took a break from the Healthcare Industry and became a Substitute Teacher. She worked in the Hackett School District. She was hardworking and trustworthy.

Wendy truly loved being around livestock in life. She was very active in the 4H and FFA programs as her children showed goats at the County District and State levels! She was a very caring and loving person. She treasured her grandchildren and children more than anything in life. She also loved going to the creek and the lake for enjoyment. Her favorite country singer was Kenny Chesney and she also enjoyed Brian McKnight.

Wendy will be forever loved, cherished and remembered by her two beautiful children: Bobby (Courtney) Beatty II of Spiro, Oklahoma and Irish (Trevon) Sanders of Fort Smith, Arkansas; six grandchildren; her parents: Eddie and Ann Thomason of Omaha, Arkansas; her significant other: Timothy Lee Tate, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.


Celebration of life service will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary Chapel 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
